About me
I make maps. Mostly hiking maps for the Beskydy and Krkonoše, plus municipal work that pays for the rest. It is slower work than people expect a trail changes, a bridge goes, and you find out two seasons later from a letter. Map is a promise to someone you will never meet. Somebody will stand in fog on a ridge in four years and trust the line I drew. I think about this more than is probably normal. I take a long time to answer messages, and it is not disinterest. It is that I want to say the right thing. Friends have learned this. New people usually have not. I read in the evenings and go to bed early, which at twenty-nine apparently makes me an old man.
What I hope for
Someone patient. I know what I am asking. I am not exciting at a first meeting and I have made peace with that. I get better, reliably, and I would like the chance to demonstrate it.
